Empowering Infants for Independent Growth with Dual Incubator

The Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno Klinikos is in need of an additional incubator to support the survival and growth of its smallest patients. With a significant number of premature infants being treated annually, the demand for incubators in the neonatal intensive care units (NICU) is high. The cost of these devices makes it challenging for the hospital to purchase additional units without external support.

Prof. Dr. Rasa Tamelienė, Head of the Department of Neonatology at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, explains, “The smallest babies are born and treated here. Every year, in Kaunas Clinics, we treat about 500 premature neonates, with around 400 requiring treatment in the NICU. Every baby in the NICU needs an incubator for their wellbeing.” To address this need, we’re calling on the community to help fund a new incubator, specifically the Dual Incu i, which provides essential support for these vulnerable infants.

About the Device:

An incubator creates a stable environment for the growth and development of premature infants, crucial for their survival. It provides thermal support, regulates oxygen levels, and maintains humidity, facilitating proper organ development and overall growth. The Dual Incu i stands out for its versatility, operating in both incubator and infant warmer modes. Its advanced features ensure superior performance, meeting all the requirements for neonatal care.
