Let’s Help Create a Music Therapy Room and a Nature Aesthetics Studio

Current status: Successful completion.

Two new therapeutic spaces – a Music Therapy Room and a Nature Aesthetics Studio – have been installed at the Valmiera SOS Family Support Center in Latvia. These spaces will support the emotional, social, and cognitive development of children living in family-based care. We thank all donors for support! Also, we extend gratitude to Eņģeļi Tev Blakus and SOS Bērnu Ciemati Latvijā for such meaningful collaboration!

About the project:

The Fenix Charity Fund, in collaboration with the Listen-Hear-Support (Ieklausies – Sadzirdi – Atbalsti) program, is raising funds to create two vital spaces that will offer therapeutic and emotional support to children without parental care and to children in crisis: a Music Therapy Room and a Nature Aesthetics Studio at the SOS Family Support Center in Valmiera.

The Latvian SOS Children’s Villages Association is a non-governmental, charitable organization that provides long-term family-based care for children without parental care, operates family support centers, a center for children in out-of-family care across multiple Latvian municipalities, and implements various social prevention programs.

About the spaces:

Music therapy room

Music therapy uses music for therapeutic purposes, applying sound, rhythm, melody, and harmony in individual or group processes. It promotes communication, learning, emotional expression, and inner mobilization.

Nature aesthetics studio

The Nature Aesthetics Studio promotes children’s emotional and creative development, as well as helping to develop sensory and social skills. It provides children with the opportunity to explore nature, reduce stress, and promote well-being by offering a harmonious and peaceful environment that stimulates imagination and creative thinking.

In addition to monetary donations, you can support the creation of these spaces by donating musical instruments. If you have any working and well-maintained musical instruments from the list below that you no longer use, please let us know by emailing us at santa@fenix.eu.
