#FenixVisits: The Annual Childhood Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania

On May 16th, Fenix Charity Fund participated in the annual Childhood Festival, organized by SOS Children’s Villages Lithuania in honor of International Children’s Day. More than 500 participants, including children in care, their family members, and members of the community from across the country, gathered to celebrate this wonderful day.

Among the participants was the Fenix Charity Fund, which became not just a guest, but an active part of the celebration. Representatives of the fund spent the day together with the children and their families, sharing warmth, smiles, and creative activities. One of the highlights of the festival was the T-shirt painting workshop, prepared by the Lithuanian charity organization.

Fenix T-shirts – A Festival favorite

We can confidently say that this was one of the most loved activities at the festival. The room was covered with T-shirts, and the line of children eager to paint theirs didn’t shrink all day. The T-shirt painting workshop encouraged self-expression, strengthened self-confidence, and nurtured creative thinking. The chance to take their creation home gave the children a sense of pride. The festival left many warm emotions behind: laughter, a sense of unity, and gratitude. Moments like these are especially important for children as they strengthen their inner sense of security and leave positive memories for years to come,” shared the festival’s organizers.

On behalf of the fund, each child was gifted a T-shirt with the Fenix logo – a symbol of hope, strength, support, and care. The children enthusiastically transformed these shirts into unique works of art.

“It was incredibly moving to see how joyfully the children engaged in the process, confidently expressing themselves through paint, and sharing their inner warmth with each other and with us. True little artists – sincere, creative, and very kind,” said Santa Laizane, the Director of the Fenix Charity Fund.
