Over the last few years, I’ve come to understand that we can’t change everything happening in the world. We can’t stop wars, and we can’t erase injustice. But I’ve also realized that I can choose how I respond. I can spread kindness wherever I am. I can listen, speak up, and help someone feel seen. I can teach peace — to myself, to my children, and to those around me. I can ask, give, create, and care. When I asked, Fenix Charity Fund appeared in my life. They cared. They gave. They helped provide the support my neighbors so desperately needed. That’s when I understood something deeper: change doesn’t begin with the world, it begins with us — with how we choose to show up for one another. Now, I’m ready to create together. Because, as we say in Lithuania: “Svetimų vaikų nebūna.” There are no other people’s children.
